NSYSA Coaches Handbook
The North Smithfield Youth Soccer Association has drafted the Coaches Handbook below to help you coach in our Fall League. If you have any comments or suggestions regarding the content of this documetn or additional information you would find helpful, please send an email to registrar@nsysa.org . The book includes, the NSYSA General Rules, Statement of Philosophy, Referee General Rules, Coaches FAQ and Parents FAQ.
NSYSA Scholarship Application
The North Smithfield Youth Soccer Association offers scholarships to North Smithfield High School Seniors. You can download the application by clicking the link below. Please read the rules & regulations on the application before completing it and mailing it in and be sure to do so before the deadline. Once completed, please send it to the address on the application form.
BCII Disclosure
A Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCII) criminal record check will be processed for each adult participating in the North Smithfield Youth Soccer Association (NSYSA) program. In order to offer an uncompromised and safe environment for all NSYSA children, you must register online so that a complete background check be performed by Soccer-RI. Any and all information gathered from this exercise will remain confidential. And will be used strictly as a safeguard for the children participating in the NSYSA program.
Coach License Reimbursement
Policy Statement: The NSYSA encourages all its coaching personnel to participate in Association and /or State sanctioned coaching programs. The programs should be designed to increase an individual's knowledge of soccer as well as provide a basis for developing improved coach-player interaction. Coaches will pursue the necessary certifications required by the State to participate in the Competitive programs. The Board of Directors will determine reimbursement percentages and amounts with consideration given to the recommendations from the Coaches and Commissioners Committee.

Medical Release
Parents are required to complete and sign two copies of this form for each child they register in an NSYSA program. The first copy is to be kept in the coaches bag at all times, the second copy will be kept in the concession stand as a backup in the case that the coach is not present for a game or practice.
