Code Of Conduct

Code Of Conduct

We must all promote good sportsmanship on the field, and mutual respect across all of the associations.

Conduct which disrupts a team with which a member or coach is associated, which is provocative toward another member, coach, or team, which shows disregard for the aims and purposes of the Association, or which is deemed by the Board to be detrimental to the best interest of the Association, shall be grounds for suspension or dismissal from the Association.

Any player or coach found to be using or in possession of drugs or alcohol during any association practice or game can result in immediate dismissal from the team and suspension from the Association for at least one (1) year.

Spectators should not communicate directly with the referee, either during OR after the game.  Refrain from any inappropriate comments concerning the players, the coaches, the refs, or parents.

Violence (verbal or physical) will not be tolerated.

NSYSA is a member of, and is bound by, the rules of Soccer Rhode Island (SRI). Players, parents, coaches or any spectator who is disruptive or violates any of the NSYSA rules or the rules of the state or federal soccer association governing bodies will be given one warning.  A second violation will result in the person being required to leave the field area for the remainder of the game.  If the violator refuses to comply, the team affiliated with that person will forfeit the game.  All NSYSA Board members and referees may eject a person from the game area for rules violations at their discretion.

This code of conduct will apply to every spectator, player, coach and referee associated with North Smithfield Youth Soccer Association.
