| Attention Coaches - New Youth Module Courses Available!
Starting in January 2012, Soccer Rhode Island will be offering a new format for the Youth Module Coaching Courses. As we have mentioned throughout this past year, US Youth Soccer has established the Youth Module Level 1 Course with the classroom portion online. After the SRI Coaching Staff and some SRI Administrators reviewed the USYS online course, we do not feel that the USYS online program meets the standards that the SRI Coaching Staff has been delivering.
The SRI Coaching staff have decided to offer the classroom portion of our Youth Module I and Youth Module 2 courses as a webinar. An SRI Instructor will facilitate each webinar in which the coaches will participate. A coach who chooses to participate in a Youth Module course will complete a registration form selecting a date for the webinar and a date for the field session. The webinar session must be taken before the field session. The webinar will take approx. 3 hours (at home) and the field session will be approx. 2-3 hours at a predetermined site.
To participate in the webinar, coaches will need a computer; speakers and microphone OR a headset with microphone. Course information will be posted online for the coaches to download for the webinar and field session. All information for these courses will be posted on the Soccer Rhode Island website, www.Soccer-RI.com.
Within the next few days, SRI will post dates for the webinars and field sessions on the website. |
